Kudos!

On a job well done.  One of the best organized, easiest to use sites of this type...  Nice size database to.  Keep up the good work.

May God bless you for your efforts.  I can't express how much it helps when one is searching for friends... and a possible relationship.  Here in rural Wisconsin, this is a fantastic option to miles and miles of travel.

You have my gratitude.

Hi,
I just wanted to say thanks for putting this site up. I've met several nice people through it.

I have a very special friend because of the service you have rendered...we're not getting married, but we sure love each other!!! (sounds weird I know, but it happens.....)

Thanks for putting your time on such a nice program. I received an e-mail within 24 hours of submitting my list!!! You are great! I think this program will really help to grow friendship within the
gospel all over the world!!!

I think this is a wonderful service!!!It is a great way to meet others close by that you didn't even know existed.  I am excited to be a part of this connection.  It tells me that wonderful things are still free.
Keep up the good work!

My name is Leonard Galbraith. Back in March of this year, I and my children signed up with friends world wide. When is it going to be updated? Once a month I see, "News Update!! ___ __ 1996" but I don't seem to see any listing updates. The last news update I saw, April 1996, I believe you said listings would be updated in a couple of weeks. Well, it has been about a month and a half since then and still no updates. My fifteen year old daughter is e-mailing a couple of young men she saw listed on L.D.S Friends Worldwide, and they are sending back to her. It sure would be nice if we could see our listings! Any guess when? I known you asked us to be patience, but for how long? Now, on to another question. In the listings, why does ones' color have to be mentioned or asked for? In the church, are we not taught that we are ALL Heavenly Fathers children? Heavenly Father loves us all regardless of our color or ethnic back ground. The color of a persons skin should not be a problem to anyone, especially in the church. If I did it correctly, I've added to ALL of my out going e-mail the following: "True friendship/love knows no color." I've always believed this and practiced it. When I and my children first signed up we with AOL, we are now with The Loop. When I signed up with L.D.S. Friends  Worldwide, I used lennyg50 as my screen name. Now I use marine7078 with The Loop.
Hope to hear from someone there soon. A brother in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Leonard c. Galbraith.

Leonard,
Thanks for writing.  I apologize for taking two weeks to get back to you.  If y'alls listings haven't appeared on the site by now, then you need to fill out the form again. The day before you wrote the above message, we made the join form automatic.  It was the news for May 29.  It adds your listing to
the page automatically in real time now.  There's several hundred listings from April and part of May that are being processed right now.  After next week, everything will be up to date.  Why ask for race?  I didn't think about that when I first put it on the membership form back in December.  I didn't make a statement about all of God's children when I included race as an identifier back then.  I agree with what you're saying.  Let's be slow to judge next time.  I was modeling another pen pal submission page and didn't intend any racism by putting it in there.  Back in February, I removed the race checkbox from the membership form. Only the old forms have them.  Well, thanks for writing.  I hope that you and your family enjoy the service.  Send any more suggestions that you might have. Peace,
Roger Brown

Roger,
Thanks for writing back. I did not mean to sound like I was judging; that wasn't my intent. My children are part Filipino and with  in this past month they have had run ins with L.D.S. white supremacist
at a fire side and dance. Again, if it sounded like I was judging, I am  sorry.  Not long after I sent my first e-mail to you asking about my listing, I saw it posted. Sorry about being inpatient. I edited my
listing to reflect my new e-mail address. I have not checked to see if it is posted yet.  Keep up the GOOD work, Roger. I really think it is a GREAT thing  you have done and are doing with L.D.S. Friends. My oldest daughter has  been writing to about 4 boys she met on L.D.S. Friends. L.D.S. Friends make being on line worth while.
Leonard
just a thank you for doing what you do!! You are awesome to donate such
time and effort.. :)

Dear Friends,
I'm a 58-yr-old widow who put my ad in with you last April.  I have  been able to get alot of enjoyment from your pages, especially that of  Sister-share!  What a wonderful addition and uplift to my days!
I have extra time now that I am retired and disabled, and enjoy  'chatting' with others my age on the net.  I'm a widow and content to remain that way with my handicaps, I surely couldn't take care of
anyone else and am barely able to do so with myself.  However, I'd  like to get some others my age and just compare notes, gripes and  problems, testimonies and daily routines. PLEASE don't forget to work on the "Senior Citizen" and widow/widower  section of your project, too.....?????
Thanks in advance.
It is nice to know that there are still some adventurous and giving people out there.  Thank you for carrying the LDS Friends page.  I hope it works out for you as well as it has for me. Take care!

Am enjoying this section of Internet so much in being able to relate  and correspond (via e mail) with other LDS men and women my own age, (not quite 60 yet!)  I especially am grateful for myself, a few lady friends and a younger daughter (out of state) who have been, this  month, a part of the Sister-share chat line for Church sisters as  well.  Since I am housebound and cannot have many contacts with the Church people here in Elko, Nevada, and Sister-share line is my  contact with people, also, worldwide, and I appreciate your  contributions towards the rest of us in this modern, Internet-computer world. Thank you for your services.

I am using a friend's computer to write you, but it's good you have this
service on the web.  I guess we need all the good we can get here and
anywhere in the world.
I guess no matter if people of the church live in SLC Utah, or Romania,
they will still be able to talk to people in the church, I guess it will
be a streangh to the entire world, for somone to share their testimony
around the world.
I guess our world-wide church is going to I be able to communicate on a
world-wide scale now.  Great!!!!!
I just wanted to thank you for all that you have done to connect
the brothers and sisters and help the gospel to grow through
the internet. May the Lord bless you.
