1)  Happy New Year y'all!  We hope that you had a good Christmas
and are having a great new year.  Don't forget about your New 
Year's Resolutions!

2)  We thank everyone for their submissions to the 
Friendszine magazine for the Holidays!

will now be appearing bi-monthly, and will be
monthly when the word spreads around and more
people make submissions.  Please send submissions to

If you would like to be a section editor or a regular 
column writer please let us know at
http://ldsfriends.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=27.  Regular columns will
include member spotlight, scripture or inspirational thought of
the day, etc.  We have already heard many enthusiastic comments
of people who want to share their stories with others.

3)  Work has begun on overhauling the site.  When it is completed
you will be able to edit your listing anytime, and remove it yourself.
You will be given a username and password.
We're also redoing the layout of the site to make it easier to
navigate.  Right now, the navigation aids are pretty weak.  Look
for pieces of the new site to start appearing at the end of
February.

4)  Okay, now it's time for some bad news.  We're no longer able to 
fund the site ourselves.  Money that we receive from advertising
banners on the site isn't enough to pay the costs of hosting the site
and paying the programmers. The site is no longer free. Membership 
dues are $2 per year.  When you put up a listing, the first 7 days
are a free trial.  After that, if you keep your listing up, please
pay the $2 dues by sending it to:

If you don't like the service after 7 days, then remove your listing, and
you owe nothing.
