1)  Hi, we hope that you had a good month
    in April! Especially April Fool's Day!
    We sure did! (he he he, ha ha , ho)

2)  We've been saying for months that we're
working on overhauling the site....
Well actually, we've only done a little
and just been doing a lot of research.  I have a lot to
learn to enable the listing editor password system
and I've finally started.  Progress is coming.  I'll be 
posting weekly updates on the site amidst my busy schedule -
(I just got a new job as a system administrator).

This new system will be awesome!  Among it's many features,
you'll be able to edit your own listing anytime.  You'll
be able to automatically upload a picture to your listing and 
change it anytime.

There will be search filters that allow you to search for
other members by location, age, and keywords.

Another feature, which will cost, will be the ability
to record a soundclip of yourself and upload it
to your listing.
Also, for a fee, you'll be able to have your own custom
personal web page with personal email account at
ldsfriends.com. 

If you'ld like to be a beta-tester for this new system,
please email me at webmaster@ldsfriends.com with the 
subject of beta-test.

3)  Password system to look at listings was removed:
The password system to look at members listings at 
http://ldsfriends.com/search.html was removed.
Many have asked why.  It's because too many people 
wouldn't follow instructions.  They tried substituting
other words for their usernames instead of the exact
username that I sent them.  Also, I disabled it because too
many people don't even know their own email address!
I tried to email their username/password to them and 
it bounced back to me because they put in the wrong address.

So, for right now you'll have to fill out the agreement
every time.  I know this is a bother but it only takes 10 
seconds of your time.  Please don't complain about that.

A solution that will benefit those who can follow
instructions plus the dumb people will be coming
by the end of May.

4) Message Boards and Chat Rooms!:
Check out the message boards at http://ldsfriends.com/board/
There you can post messages that will be seen by your fellow
members.  You can read their responses and follow the
discussion in a threaded newsgroup format.
To use the chat rooms you'll need a Java enabled browser like
Navigator or Internet Explorer. (Navigator is cool - :)

The best time to go in the chat rooms is in on the hour in the 
evenings
(7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, etc..)
